why start with sleep coaching?

Working with a sleep coach is a perfect “in between” instead of going to a doctor or googling for yourself. I have struggled with insomnia and circadian rhythm disruption for years. After doing more google searches than I’d like to admit, and reading more books and papers than I can count, I have finally reached a place of understanding the dos and don’ts, and the value of maintaining healthy sleep hygiene. 

 

It’s something so simple and basic at its core, but in today’s modern world it’s one of the hardest things to stay on top of consistently. We have tons of things working against us such as the nightly news, sitting all day at work, and the blue light on our phones. 

 

Working with a coach to learn how to optimize your sleep and find your ideal circadian rhythm is something that can transform your health for the rest of your life.  It can even make your whole family healthier, as having good sleep hygiene can prevent and improve a large amount of physical and mental health problems.   

 

Working with a coach can be a weird thing to start if you’ve never done it before. It’s something I wish I had 15 years ago. The process is easy and it’s basically like having an on call consultant to help improve one of the most important parts of your well being, sleep. 

 

Most people benefit most from a 30 min phone call per week and then some texts/emails during the week to have their questions answered and to help them stay accountable for the actions they should be taking. 

 

After only 30 days you will have a transformed relationship with one of nature’s most basic restorative processes, sleep. You will have broken old bad habits and build new habits that you will keep with you forever. Your days of “NEEDING” coffee in the morning or wanting a glass of wine or two at night to make it easier to fall asleep will turn into very elective things you will not “need” at all.
